QUESTIONS & ANSWERS

Ask a Question
  • My series III wall console stopped working (remote operates door as normal). Opener and wall console are approximately 8 years old. The 3 buttons on the wall console have no effect. The red LED on the wall console is on, I measured approximately 12VDC on the 2-wire connection to the wall console. If I can measure the signal from the wall console, I can see if the problem is the wall console itself or at the opener. Can you tell me if the signal from the wall console is simply a DC current signal, or something else I can measure with a multimeter? I assume the wall console sinks different mADC current levels to trigger the opener's functions, but I don't know if there is more to it than that. Thank you!

It’s DC current and should run 12-20 volts.  If the remotes operate the door normally, the issue would most likely be the wall console or wiring, You can remove the wall console and check the voltage if it is within that range the wall console should be replaced, if not the wiring should be replaced.

  • Will it work with Genie Intellicode Screw Drive, 1/2 HP Model IS550/A, Receiver Model/Module ACSR3G?

No, it will not. The IS550/A model garage door opener would use the Series II wall console.

This one will not. You would need the Series II wall console, 39165R.

  • Will this work with the 3060L series opener? The light will not shut off automatic.

No, this will not work with the 3060L model. You would need the Series II wall console, 39165R. If you would like to troubleshoot the lights not turning off before purchasing a wall console, please contact Genie customer service at 1-800-354-3643 for assistance.
