1. Is there a monthly subscription cost to store video on the Wyze app?
No, there are no monthly subscription fees! The rolling 14-day cloud storage is free; however, your alert videos are only viewable from the Wyze app for 14 days. After 14 days, they are automatically deleted.
2. How long are the alert videos?
The alert videos last for 12 seconds and are capable of beginning a new recording every 5 minutes.
3. Are the Wyze App and Genie’s Aladdin Connect App integrated?
At this time, the Wyze App and the Aladdin Connect App are not integrated. Each app functions individually, however, if using Amazon Alexa or IFTTT, scenes can be created to use both apps simultaneously and thus all that is required to operate and view the garage door opener.
4. What size and kind of microSD cards do the Wyze 1080p HD cameras support?
Wyze Cam supports 8GB, 16GB, and 32GB microSD cards in FAT32 format. Class 10 for optimal performance.
5. Will it work with my home Wi-Fi?
The Wyze Cam2 is compatible with 2.4ghz network signals running a WPA/WPA2 network encryption. The camera is not compatible with networks that use a web-based login.
6. Can the Wyze Cam be used outdoors?
They are not weatherproof and are not designed to be mounted or left outdoors for an extended period of time. The recommended operating temperature range is 32-104F.
