Questions & AnswersAsk a Question
WILL MY OLD REMOTE STILL WORK WITH THIS NEW ONE.
Yes, it will. All of our garage door openers hold up to at least 7 wireless devices (this would include remotes, keypads, and in-vehicle systems)/
The house I just moved into has Linear openers. Will my Genie ACSCTG type 3 remotes work with Linear operators?
No, they will not.
I have extra old style ACSCTG Type 3 remote.. It hasn’t had a battery in it for a long time.. It worked just fine before I took the battery out.. With a new battery it doesn’t work. I tested the new battery in my other remote. It’s not the battery. Does the remote need to be resinked to my opener.. I can’t find or no longer have the instructions for my door opener.
You will need to reprogram the remote. Here are the programming instructions for the ACSCTG Type 3 remote. https://www.geniecompany.com/data/products/accessories/manuals/legacy/33069T_3_Btn%20IC1_3307631029.pdf
My Genie ACSCTG stopped working. Even after I replaced the battery it still does not work. Do I need to replace the remote ?
You may just need to reprogram the remote. What model garage door opener do you have?
I have a GIT-3BL remote that just stop working. I changed the battery but it still will not work. Do I need to replace the remote. My other remote still works fine.
It may just need to be reprogrammed. What model garage door opener do you have?
Can the ACSCTG type 3 remote replace the ACSCTG type 1 remote and does the type 3 work on two different doors that are currently type 1?
Yes, this will replace the type 1 remote and will operate two doors that worked with the type 1.
I use the original remote (model B8QACSCT) , it has 1 button only, which has turned “gooey”. I also live in a gated community, would I be able to program this remote for the garage AND the entry gate? It would be awesome to ONLY have 1 remote for both gates. Please advise, thank you
It is possible that it may work, but it would depend on which type of receiver is on the gate. Please contact Genie customer service at 1-800-354-3643 for assistance.
What battery does a TYPE 3 take?
This could have taken two different type of batteries depending on when it was made. It is either the A23 battery or CR2032 coin cell battery. If you open the battery spot, you should be able to tell if it has a space for the coin cell or other.
Do you know what remote is compatible with 1560/M opener?
You can use any of the Genie Intellicode model remotes. (All the ones we sell today are Intellicode).
I have a 3 button old type remote and am in need of a battery. I don't have the old battery, so I need to know the battery number for a ACSC10, Type 3 remote.
The Type 3 remote took two different battery types depending on when it was made. If you open where the battery goes you should be able to tell if it would take a coin cell type or other. if it has the slot for the coin cell battery it would take the CR2032 battery. If it is not the coin cell, it would take the A23 (12 Volt) battery.
Will this work with Genie 209 Cryptar II?
No, it will not.
I need remote control for Genie 1/2 H.P Model 2060L. Can someone pls help me with that. Thanks
You can use any of our current Genie Intellicode garage door opener remotes with the 2060L model garage door opener.
Is this the correct remote for a Genie model 2060L? The remote I have is falling apart and ancient. It has a gray back and gray and cream color on the front. There are three buttons but I only use the remote for one door so not sure I need three buttons on the replacement. The remote says it's model is GICTD and it is the original remote for the garage door opener.
Yes, this remote will work on the 2060L model garage door opener. You could also use the G1T-BX remote if you only need one button.
