Genie Booth #1207
Genie gave it’s all to come out on top at the 2018 International Door Association Expo in Las Vegas! The Annual IDA Expo was held at the Las Vegas Convention Center from April 27 - 28th. Did you miss the Genie team at booth 1207? Here’s what you missed:
Coming in with a brand new booth featuring an 18’ tall Genie along with a newly unveiled Genie Man mascot, the company strongly reaffirmed the power of its brand & commitment to the garage door & opener dealer industry. The use of modern and traditional graphics to promote the many connected and traditional products on display affirmed why Genie is one of America’s favorite brands.One attendee is quoted as saying, “Genie’s booth was the hit of Expo and made it really worth attending the exhibits.”
Genie Unveil & Announcement
To start the show off with a bang, was Paul Teutul Jr. of American Chopper & Paul Jr Designs. Paul came with a dynamic Genie chopper sculpted just for his newly relaunched show. The big unveiling, in which not even Genie executives knew what the final design looked like, had those surrounding the area lined up 7 or 8 deep in spots. The roar of the crowd after the cover was pulled from the bike confirmed their overwhelming approval. They also overwhelmingly approved when Paul asked if he should fire it up, which he obliged with a few roaring revs of the engine! (Look for the episode that brings the Genie chopper to life on an all-new Discovery’s American Chopper to air Monday June 18, 2018 at 10 PM EST.
Residential JackshaftProduct displays then took center stage as the Genie residential jackshaft opener stole the show. Many dealers could not believe how compact yet powerful it is, & how quiet it operated. The accessories, including LED light & all-new wireless wall console, were icing on the Genie cake!
Model 3120 with integrated Aladdin Connect Wi-Fi
This unit proved Genie is well prepared to equip its dealers with the type of modern and connected openers that homeowners throughout the nation are demanding – NOW! And the free-standing Aladdin Connect Wi-Fi system, with its many time-based features that homeowner moms & dads absolutely love, was on display to show how it allows any existing Genie opener & most other brands to be converted to a smart garage door opener on the fly!
Genie Commerical Line
Not to be outdone, Commercial came through with a new and improved trolley carriage that is much quieter with its robust mechanical design. The GCL Heavy-Duty Gear Head Hoist Explosion-Proof operator, Fire Door standard-duty hoist operator and Egress standard-duty jackshaft operator were well received, showing dealers Genie can easily be their one-stop supplier for their residential & commercial operators and accessories.
Genie Screw Drive Garage Door Opener
A 14’ high full view door showed how powerful and fast Genie’s top of the line screw drive opener, the Model 4064, operates.
Interactive & Social MediaInteractive displays and social media played a big part of the fun as dealers could take a short survey of how smart openers are developing in their markets, then win a random prize that the 18’ Genie Man chose for them! Social Media was alive and well as dealers could take selfies of themselves with Genie in the background, then post on their own Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram accounts to be eligible to win a prize.
