Have Model G8000. Opener works, but lights stay on indefinitely. What's the fix?
This could be caused by a few different things. In order to eliminate these, here are a few steps to try.
First, you would want to remove the wall button from the wall. Then take the wires off the back of it and leave them off.
You would then want to run the unit with a remote, then wait at least five minutes and the light should time out. If they do go out, you would want to replace the wall console.
If they do not, then you would want to remove the wall button wires from the powerhead. Again, run the unit with a remote, wait the five minutes and see if they go out. If they do, you would want to replace the wall button wire from the wall button to the powerhead.
If they do not go out after both of these then this would be an issue with the circuit board.
I have a G2500 opener, and I need a remote control to replace my old one that broke.
The G2500 model garage door opener would use the Genie Master Remote, model GM3T-R.
I have a Genie model 8800 and I need a receiver. so I can use my remotes I think it's over 30yrs old, What is compatible with this opener so I can use my remotes.
Do you have Safe-T-Beams on the 8800 model garage door opener?
