Ask a Question
  • I have a 0.5 HP Promax garage door opener that I am considering replacing. Does Genie sell a 0.5 HP garage door opener with a battery backup that I purchase in California. I have only been able to find a 2 HPc that I believe is way more powerful than I need, even though my door is a single piece and not a sectional type. If so, please let me know what the name and model number are so that I can order one.

The 2Hpc Machforce is the only one sold in retail right now with a battery back-up that will work on a one-piece garage door. You can contact a local Genie garage door dealer in your area for other options. If you visit www.geniecompany.com and enter your zip code you can locate dealers in your area.
