The Genie screw drive G- GX-GXL series garage door openers are an older model with limited parts still available. The diagram for this model is in the owner's manual, and the parts below will work with these models. These are the parts available online. This series also included models: CM7500, CM8500,GXL9500CL, GXL9550CL, GXL9900CL, G4050CL, G5000CL, G5050CL, G5500CL, G5700CL, G8000CL, GX9000CL, GXL10000, GXL10000CL (Medallion Series), Some of the models covered in this series did not come standard with Safe-T-Beams, they were an add on option. Since 1993, all garage door openers manufactured for the U.S. MUST include a second safety reversing feature such as Safe-T-Beams (photoelectric eyes). Once the invisible beam is broken, the garage door reverses back open automatically. If your current garage door opener does not have the Safe-T-Beams, it should not be fixed- it’s time to get a new garage door opener. For more details please contact Genie technical assistance.
