QUESTIONS & ANSWERS

Ask a Question
  • MY GENIE GARAGE OPENER REMOTE THE REPROGRAMMABLE BUTTON IS BROKEN WILL THIS STILL WORK AS FAR AS THE REPROGRAMMABLE WITHOUT THE BUTTON WORKING

No, if the learn button on the motor is broken, you will not be able to program any remote devices or keypads.  If you can provide your model number we can advise if the circuit board with the learn button is still available.

  • I have an old Genie garage door opener without the smart programming. You need the “pots/switches” on the board to program. Will this remote work?

The Genie Master Remote will work with any of the Genie garage door openers that used dipswitches as long as the frequency was 315/390. The GK-R keypad will not.

  • I have a Genie 1/2 screw drive model # b8qgr912. Will this work for this old model. There is no buttons on the actual unit to pair with the remote. That’s what is confusing me. A regular universal one at Walmart will not work.

The B8QGR912 receiver would work with the GM3T-R master remote, but will not work with the GK-R Keyless entry pad.

  • Will this keypad & remote work with a SilentMax® 1000 (3042) ?

Yes, the GK-R keypad and GM3T-R remote will work with the SilentMax 1000 (3042) model garage door opener.

  • What remotes and keypad will work with the CM8600ic/a?

The CM8600IC/A will work with any of our Genie Intellicode® remotes, and the GK-R wireless keypad. All of our current remotes are Intellicode models.

  • I’m just trying to figure out if the GK-R Keyless Entry and GM3T-R Remote Pack will work with my system. I have a Genie screw drive 1/3 HP model #CM7600ic/a. Will this work with my setup? Thanks!

    Yes, they will!

  • I have a Genie PGC700ML. Is this keypad compatible? If not, could you recommend one please? Thank you!

Yes, the GK-R keypad will work with the PCG700ML model garage door opener.

  • I have a scathing type three remote will the Hk-r And the gm3t-r work with my garage opener? If not could you recommend a product that will work with my older unit please.

If your current garage door opener works with the ACSCTG type III remote, then yes this GK-R and GM3T-R will work with it as well.

  • I just bought the GK-R Wireless Keypad and programmed it. Everything works, however the light keeps flashing when not in use. Is this normal?

No, it should not keep flashing after 30 seconds. If it is, please try to make sure no buttons are stuck. If you have checked and it is still flashing please contact us at 1-800-354-3643 for assistance.

  • I have a Genie Model 1024 garage door opener. Will this work for that?

    Yes, it will!

  • I have a Model 2028 opener, will this keypad work with my model??

    Yes, it will!

  • I have a genie pro max PMX500IC/B system and need a wireless keypad and another garage door opener for car will this GM3T-R remote pack work

    Yes, it will!

  • I have a GX9000 will this keypad and remote for this model?

The GM3T-R remote will work with the GX9000 model garage door opener. The GK-R keypad will not. We no longer have a keypad that will work with the dipswitch style garage door openers.

  • I have a Pro88. If I buy the GK-R Keyless Entry and GM3T-R Remote Pack, will that work or do I also need the Conversion kit?

You would need the conversion kit for the keypad to work.

  • I have a Genie, Model GXL9550. I am considering purchasing the GK-R Keyless Entry and GM3T-R Remote Pack since your representative indicated the GM3T was the correct remote that would work with my model that has 12 dipswitches but no learn button. What I want to know is if the Keyless Entry will also work without a learn button and on the type of model I have. Thank you.

The keypad will not work with the GXL9550 model that has dipswitches. As indicated, the GM3T-R will. We no longer have any keypads that will work with the fixed code "dipswitch" style garage door openers. You would need to add the Universal Conversion Kit (External Intellicode Reciever) to be able to add the Keypad with Intellicode to those syle units. You can view that here.

  • I recently bought a genie wireless keypad on my garage door opener. I have a craftsman garage door opener. Will the genie keypad work with a craftsman model?… Or does it only work with Genie garage door opener?

This keypad will only work with Genie Intellicode model garage door openers, it is not universal to work with other brands.
